After I wrote the last post (in May!), I disappeared. Poof! Gone!

One reason is just life – lots of it, kids’ birthdays, school, shopping, cooking, cleaning… nothing out of the ordinary though.
And getting ready for a wedding – OK, this isn’t ‘ordinary’, but it’s happening in September, so every non-working moment has been taken up with doing (or worrying about not doing) things in preparation.
So, I suppose, work – which was a big one. With two new projects, and the year-end budget landslide pushing even more opportunities my way, I’ve found it hard to do much else.
And Covid – Yeh, OK – that happened too. And is still happening. In fact, I’m still in Covid standstill. Which has given me time to think…
… about the work I’m doing, and the focus of the blog. So, actually, this was possibly a key issue. When I started out with this blog, it was more or less going to only be about the writing I was doing. Other work at the Garage? Not so much. But then I took on work in the Garage that wasn’t writing-based, and that meant that I had to pause writing. And if I only write about my writing, when I’m not writing (that), I’m not… writing (this).
The Garage is still evolving… but it’s evolving in some interesting ways. So, expect to see the focus of this blog broaden from this point on.
Also – Hi! It’s nice to be back 🙂
