As is the way for those who work freelance, working circumstances and work pressures (and opportunities) fluctuate. The last few weeks have seen me add two new contracts which each have to be completed before the end of July. These last-minute opportunities often come up at the end of the budget year when universities discover that they have funds remaining… and wreak havoc with plans made long ago for pre-summer writing.
I’m not going to take anything extra on now. I can’t really. So this morning’s task is to redo the plan, so that I get everything done, and have time to fit in a small amount of regular, daily writing alongside.
